"Apamate" is named for the extraordinary blooming tree of Venezuela that stands out in a sea of green. We aim to stand out in our own way and we do that in part by naming our traditionally Spanish restaurant after something Venezuelan. It reflects who our Chef is and pays homage to the country she hails from while preparing the food that she loves. We are part of the slow movement in Philadelphia. We support organic, pasture fed meats and local farmers who struggle like us to make a difference in the world. We have a relationship with them not only to buy the best in food quality, but also to make a difference with our choices in supporting people who produce the best using minimal impact farming. With a dash of creativity and solid roots in tradition, we welcome you to remember your trip to the coast of Donosti and if you don't have that memory let us introduce you. It's warm and you are always welcome to join us for a family tradition in our kitchen, at our table.. Apamate is one of a kind.
