The Gershman Y is located in the cultural heart of Philadelphia on the Avenue of the Arts and stands proudly among theaters, restaurants and performing arts venues as a visible, tangible symbol that arts and culture - including Jewish arts and culture - are very much alive and well in Philadelphia. Since 1923, The Gershman Y has provided social, cultural and spiritual programs and services to the community at this location; we are the Philadelphia area's only Jewish affiliated institution dedicated exclusively to arts and culture.
