Bleachers Stolen From Camden Football Field

Thieves made off with structure, presumably for the purpose of selling the metal

Bolts and clamps are all that remain of a 12-foot-long set of aluminum bleachers at a youth football field in New Jersey.

Thieves made off with the structure from Whitman Park in Camden this week.

An identical set on the other side of the field, which is lit by streetlamps, wasn't touched.

Assistant coach Donald Williams told The Courier-Post of Cherry Hill he didn't want to tell his 8- and 9-year-old players that people steal metal for money.

Williams says the bleachers were used by the teams and by parents who come out to practices.
