Daniel Tosh might possibly be the most offensive comedian in the business today; which hasn't stopped him from having one of the most popular shows on Comedy Central, or selling out stand-up concert dates around the country. While his television show is full of hilarious jokes making fun of nearly every race, sexual orientation, species, religion, occupation, age group, social issue, and government on the planet, his stand-up focuses on every day issues that most people won't admit to thinking about. With the third season of Tosh.0 in full swing, Daniel Tosh has a number of tour dates in 2011 on the Tosh Tour On Ice.
Daniel Dwight Tosh was born in West Germany on May 29, 1975, and moved to Titusville, Florida as a child. He graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in marketing but soon realized that a "real job" was not for him. He moved to Los Angeles and began performing tour dates on the comedy club circuit, with his first break coming in 1998 when he performed at Just for Laughs in Montreal. He received national attention when he appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman in 2001, followed by three separate Taco Bell commercials in 2002. Tosh received his first Comedy Central Presents stand-up special in 2003, which was followed up four years later by his Comedy Central stand-up special, Daniel Tosh: Completely Serious. In between televised specials, he also released a cd of his live stand-up, entitled True Stories I Made Up. He made his first (and to date, last) film appearance as the guy in the cowboy hat in the 2008 Mike Meyers movie, The Love Guru.
Tosh's biggest break to date is when he was given his own show on Comedy Central in 2009. Tosh.0 capitalizes on Tosh's greatest natural talent: Making fun of people. And, as audiences have learned, there is no better place to find people to make fun of than on the internet, as Tosh.0 has had two incredibly successful seasons, with another on the way. In 2010, it was revealed that Tosh's show even had substantially higher ratings than The Colbert Report and The Daily Show. Tosh.0 has become so successful, that Comedy Central gave him another stand up special in spring 2011, titled Happy Thoughts, which received excellent ratings.
Season 3 of Tosh.0 began on May 17, much to fans' delight. Daniel Tosh also has plenty of tour dates in 2011 on the Tosh Tour On Ice. While the concert dates won't include an ice show, this stand-up tour will visit a number of US and Canadian cities. The 2011 tour dates begin on July 22 in Boston and will end a month later in Anaheim, so fans should check Eventful for all the details before Daniel Tosh retreats back into the digital world.
